UPDATE ON JUMAH SALAT AT PGMA
Dear PGMA Brothers and Sisters,
Assalamu Alaikum wa Rahmatu Allah wa Barakatuh,
We pray to Allah this message reaches all of you in the best state of health and Iman.
In response to the new PG county guidance about reopening and our capacity limits, PGMA would like to keep you informed on the following plan updates:
Friday prayer: PGMA is planning to establish two Jumu’ah prayers this coming Friday. The first prayer will be indoor at 12:15pm with a limit of 70 people, while the second prayer will be outdoor at 1:30pm, with a limit of 150 people in shaa Allah. In case of heavy rain, the outdoor prayer will be replaced by two indoor prayers at 1:30pm and at 2:30pm and people will be admitted to the prayers on a first come first serve basis.
We understand that this number can’t accommodate everyone who wants to attend. Therefore, at this time, entry will be limited based on the religious obligation of Friday prayer. That is, only a) resident b) male individuals, c) with ages between 15 and 65, and d) with no risky health conditions can attend.
In addition, individuals meeting these criteria will have to register, agree to the guidelines, and get approved with a pass number by the PGMA admins on a first come first served basis before they can attend.
Below, please find some key guidelines you need to follow. If you meet them and you have not already registered, please do so by using this link:
Registration is per individual (not family). You may call the office for the registration form information, please.
Once approved, you will be notified about the Friday time you can attend and with a pass number that you will need to present upon arrival.
5 Daily prayers: If you would like to consistently attend one or more of the 5 daily prayers, you will have to follow the same guidelines for Friday prayers and will need to email email@example.com, with the following information: Name, Age, Gender, Phone number, and the Prayer time(s) you will consistently make in shaa Allah.
If you have any questions, please call the main office at 301-459-4942 or send an email to mailto:firstname.lastname@example.org.
As the Covid-19 pandemic is still prevalent, we kindly ask that you please cooperate with us as we proceed to cautiously re-open the masjid with everyone’s health and safety in mind.
Each person must bring a full size personal prayer mat.
Each person must wear a mask and maintain a distance of 6 feet from all others at all times. Family members living in the same house don’t need distance between themselves and can stand side by side.
There will be no access to the bathroom and wudu facilities, so please make your wudu at home.
If you have any medical condition, including fever, coughing, or any underlying conditions, you must avoid coming to the masjid for your safety and for the safety of your fellow Muslims.
Entry compliance will be enforced by security. Please follow all instructions as given. And kindly be respectful to staff and security personnel as we try to ensure a safe environment for all attendees, in shaa Allah.
For outdoor prayer, please bring your mat and an umbrella to protect you from sun and/or light rain.
Jazakum Allah Khair, and may Allah accept from all of us. Ameen.
Your PGMA administration.
